The Malayer Gallery size rug has a brick and dark blue field. The main area of the field consists of a number of connected diamond shapes that are filled with the star forms and small animal shapes in one of the end diamonds which is the signature of Malayer rugs. Outside the diamond shape central forms, the field is covered by paisley (boteh) flowers in white and yellow colors. The rug is framed with multiple borders with different designs which adds to the complexity and beauty of the design and colors.
