Beautiful silk soumak from the Shahsavan Tribe in NW Persia. The three large square in the field of cream color with the tones of rust, light green and pink form the basis of design. The large geometric forms in the squares and the design of small bird forms with silk needlepoint throughout manifests in a beautiful tribal soumak.
