Sarouk
The Sarouk rug from the 1st quarter of the 20th century is distinct in having an allover design field consisting of large flower bouquet forms. This rug is unlike most Sarouks that tend to be very busy. The use of bright colors such as yellow, red, pink, blue and green both in the field and the border brings a beautiful color palate to this rug. The uncluttered border is similar in design to Heriz rugs from NW Persia. A wonderful piece that is around 100 years old.
