Handmade vintage Moroccan "Boucherouite" rug woven entirely with cut-up pieces from the fabric of old clothes on a flatwoven foundation piece. The word "Boucherouite" means rag or torn clothes in the Moroccan Arabic language. This is providing the tribal women and their families settling down in the village to have a new source of income to support their families. We are amazed at the ultra-modern design and brilliant colors including red, pink, blue, green, purple, brown, and yellow in this rug. The weaved design and the use of bright colors make this an ideal tapestry wall art or a carpet as a centerpiece of any design. See other Boucherouite rugs in our collection.
