Primitive Handmade Wool Vintage Moroccan "Boucherouite" rug woven entirely with cut-up pieces from the fabric of old clothes. The word "Boucherouite" means rag or torn clothes in the Moroccan Arabic language. This is providing the tribal women and their families settling down in the village to have a new source of income to support their families. The rug is designed so fully functional on either side. The top side is weaved similar to a rag or a shag rug. The back is flat-woven similar to a kilim. This beautiful Moroccan rug is in a colorful allover pattern reminiscent of impressionist paintings. The many colors include green, yellow, blue, red, brown, and many more.
