A beautiful Kerman Lavar rug from the late 1800s.  The main field is in white color with the corners in red.  The rug has a flower design in red, light blue and cream colors.   The border is in red color with flower design throughout.  Lavar is a village near the city of Kerman on the edge of the great desert in South East Persia. Lavar carpets are world-renowned for their beauty in design and colors used which this carpet well represents.
