This beautiful antique Persian Mahal Sultanabad from the first quarter of the 1900s has an overall design with rust color field and dark red/black border. The large forms in turquoise blue, and cream colors throughout the field. The narrow border with leaf design frames the unique and beautiful field design. The rug is in great condition with a full pile. The Ziegler Mahal Sultandabad carpets woven in Persia from the mid-1800s have become world renown and are very desirable because of their color scheme and open designs.
