This is a Kurdish Bidjar carpet from Northwest Persia from the late 1800s. The variation of the paisley design which is considered the “seed of life” in the Eastern culture on a cream background make this truly a masterpiece of design and color. The geometric form of the border in bright colors adds to the beauty of this wonderful piece of weaved art.
