    Cloudband Kazak

    Cloudband Kazak carpet is from the mid 1800s. This is a rare carpet and highly sought after. It has beautiful geometric design have a rare green color and the whole design is set in a tomato red color field. Small geometric designs are in blue, green, yellow and red colors.

    Dhurrie Kilim

    A series of triangles in teal green, dark red, bluish purple, black and bright orange are arranged in a zigzag pattern down the center of the field. The charcoal border with repeating ivory diamonds. The top of the rug has more earth tones and muted colors whereas the backside has brighter colors as shown in the photo. Because the kilim weave the rug can be displayed and used on either side depending on the design needs.

    The Karabagh carpets from the Armenian region in Azerbaijan in the Caucasus are very desirable by the collectors and people that are familiar with the Caucasian weaving styles. The three geometric forms that cover the center of the rug is made up of a number of concentric stars.     Karabagh is known for some of the most beautiful kilim ever made. The color use and combination in Karabagh kilims resemble French impressionist paintings.
